Republicans Are So Out Of Touch.

Dave Johnson, of Campaign for America’s Future, has a great Op-Ed on Truthout about the horrible timing of Republicans when it comes to defending the top 1%.

Okay, we all know that Republicans are pro-big business and pro-Wall Street, nothing new. You would think; however, that when ’280 corporations received a total of nearly $224 billion in tax subsidies.’, according to Robert McIntyre, Director at Citizens for Tax Justice, the GOP would at least have the decency to not obstruct the president’s efforts at creating some jobs. You’d think.

As evidenced by the Republican filibuster of POTUS’ jobs bill; however, it is clear that the GOP wants the economy to fail so they can blame the president. That sounds obvious but it is perhaps the most unpatriotic thing a political party can do at a time when the economy is in such bad shape. They care more about winning the White House than they do about the middle class. It certainly puts Occupy Wall Street in perspective.
